This recipe is a simple and yummy dip. I think it’s one of my favorites. My mom use to make it for gathers when I was younger.
14 oz can Re-fried Beans
1 lb Grounded Beef
1 pack or 3 Tbs of Taco Seasoning
8 oz Cream Cheese (Room Temp)
1 c Sour Cream
2 c Lettuce (Chop Finely)
1 c Tomatoes (Diced)
2 c Shredded Cheese
I use a 9″ by 13″ casserole dish when making this dip. You can use a big bowl or even make individual cups with this recipe.
Start with cooking the ground beef. Add the taco seasoning with a little bit or water.
Add the cooked taco seasoned ground beef to the bottom of the dish. Make sure it is spread evenly in the dish.
Add the re-fried beans. Heating the beans makes it a little easier to spread. Spread evenly in the dish.
Add the cream cheese. Make sure it’s room temperature. Spread it evenly over the re-fried beans.
Add the sour cream. Spread evenly.
Sprinkle the lettuce evenly over the sour cream. Then sprinkle the tomatoes evenly over the lettuce. Now sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly on top.
If you are serving right away, cover the dish and refrigerate. Serve with your favorite corn chips. My family loves using the scoop chips. They can get more dip on the chips! Enjoy!
